How Asian handicap lines work
Asian handicap removes the draw from a football match by giving one team a goal start. With a -0.5 handicap, the favourite must win by any margin for the bet to win. With -1, a one-goal win returns your stake as a push, and a win by two or more goals wins the bet.
Quarter lines such as -0.75 split your stake into two halves on the neighbouring lines, here -0.5 and -1. If the favourite wins by exactly one goal, the -0.5 half wins and the -1 half is returned, so you collect a half win. Over/under totals use the same idea for goals, with lines such as 2.5 or 2.75. Read through the line on the slip carefully, because one match can show many lines at different odds.
